People of Houston,

Are you kneeling comfortably? Then I shall begin.

I am General Zod, former Kryptonian freedom fighter and now ruler of the planet Houston. Though some may claim otherwise, I am a fair and just ruler and I have virtually no intention of taking away your freedom or liberty. All I demand is that you enjoy said freedom and liberty from a perpetual kneeling position, adopted solely to demonstrate your eternal devotion to Zod, and, to a much lesser extent, Ursa and Non.

As a reward for your continued and everlasting kneeling before the mighty Zod, I am overseeing the production of this website, to provide what I believe passes for entertainment here on Houston.

I am in the process of recruiting a team of writers to produce the content for the site. Like you, these writers will be loyal followers of Zod, and will be providing regular, Zod-approved articles on a variety of topics designed to appeal to both geeks and nerds alike. From a kneeling position.

Although I have no interest whatsoever in the everyday running of this or any other website on your pathetic “internet”, I shall be dropping by from time to time to inform you of new and exciting ways in which you can continue to demonstrate your unending devotion to Zod.

In the meantime, if you are a fan of comics, sci-fi, fantasy, video games, movies, etc, etc, and can write words in a fashion likely to be appreciated by others on Houston, I demand that you contact me via zod@thephantomzone.co.uk, whereupon I shall decide your worthiness. It would be wise to include writing samples, links to previous works, or ideas for features and articles, lest the anger of Zod be rained down upon you.

As I have no need for currency, in the unlikely event that this worthless enterprise ever makes any money, it shall be shared fairly among all those who have contributed. It may then be spent on thin, padded mats, so that your continued kneeling before the great and mighty Zod is marginally more comfortable.
