Hi
Have seen a full list of titles to be released and Old Man Logan IS on there, but one of the last to be released.
Punisher aside, I know very little of the Marvel story arcs and so have subscribed to broaden my horizons more. The only thing that I'm not completely happy about is that some story arcs appear to be split across more than one book (Welcome back Frank, Secret Wars)

I agree wholeheartedly that children should be encouraged to read horror novels if they so choose because anything that enriches the mind is definitely beneficial to a child's literary development. It also allows for the boundaries of their imagination to be challenged, as all good books should. However, this really should be closely monitored as children are also very impressionable as was the case when my brother allowed me to watch Silence of the Lambs when I was a child and I didn't sleep for weeks.

I don't believe that the horror genre should be used to expose a child to fear at an early age nor is it designed to do this because really all Goosebumps taught me was that if you pinch a monster in a monster-themed theme park, it will DEFINITELY deflate hence saving your family.

So really, I agree, kids should be allowed read horror that is age appropriate because if it is suitable it shouldn't instil real terror but rather prove to be enjoyable and enriching for the child and also may nurture a love for a genre which could lead to a love of great writers such as Poe, King, and Lovecraft.

Old Man Logan would be excellent. I have it as individual issues, but I'd love a nice hardback collected edition like this.

From looking at the back of the first book I can see that some of the other stories still to come are Amazing Spider-Man: Revelations (which follows on from this first book), Eternals, and World War Hulk. All worth £9.99 of anyone's money, I reckon.

The good thing is you can unsubscribe at any time, so once he's got the freebies if the quality of the story choices starts to go downhill, he can always unsubscribe. They've set the bar high with the first few, though, so hopefully they'll continue it. There's plenty of strong Marvel stuff to choose from, anyway. They could do the complete collection of X-Men stories alone and not produce a single bad edition.

I think my brother subscribed, too. Mainly he wanted the freebies. Guess he didn't think about getting the ones he wouldn't want. Suppose I'll just have to liberate him from them!

Very nice collection, though. I can't wait to read them!
